about

These tracks are from our split mini-cd with New Brunswick buddies Anthesis, in the year 2015. The ill-conceived format and packaging (by Sean), placing the smallest format (mini-cd) on a used (and random)LP, inside of an LP jacket with the art and series number glued to the front, was an attempt to create a willfully obscure and irritating physical format for this project. In conjunction with a self imposed internet blackout of these 2 songs, the idea was that only REAL fans of the band would know of it, or seek it out. Many thanks to Anthesis for their patience with us.

These songs were from the "Dog Years" sessions and Dog Years era home recordings, an initial volume of which comprised an unreleased ep which I called "the lost broadcast". It was broken up into pieces and given to the following releases: Split with Anthesis, Split with Godstopper, one song for the Eolian Records comp "Fiends In Low Places". So, if one were so inclined, assembling all of the Sabatini tunes from those releases would complete a collection of songs that were once all together, like a family, after we'd finished the touring cycle for Dog Years.

Our music is an aggressive mixture of noise rock, doom, hardcore, and metal wrapped up in a burly sludge aesthetic. All four of us handle vocal duties. We play loud, and with conviction. ... more
